Solid Angle and MAXON To Reveal Arnold for Cinema 4D at SIGGRAPH
MADRID & FRIEDRICHSDORF, 30 July, 2014 – SOLID ANGLE, maker of Arnold, the industry leading global illumination ray tracer, and MAXON, leading developer of professional 3D software solutions for modeling, painting, animation and rendering, will unveil Arnold for Cinema 4D (C4DtoA) at SIGGRAPH.
After a year of independent development, the Arnold for Cinema plugin is now officially within the Solid Angle stable and will debut on the MAXON booth (#1422) on Tuesday August 12, at 9:30am. This bridge between the two applications will allow Cinema 4D artists direct access to the advanced rendering capabilities of Arnold.
Solid Angle founder and CEO Marcos Fajardo said: “Customers have been asking for an official and supported bridge to Cinema 4D for quite some time. We are delighted to now make this a reality.”
Ugly Kids digital artist Daniel Hennies was one of the early instigators of the Arnold to Cinema 4D bridge and has been testing the official version in production. He said: “With Arnold, Solid Angle has perfected the balance between optimized performance, unbiased quality and comfortable ease of use. Being able to use Arnold’s complete feature-set within Cinema 4D has been a dream for some years and I am excited to see it finally come true."
MAXON Cinema 4D product manager Oliver Meiseberg said: “Arnold for Cinema 4D is extremely important to us for high end visual effects. We are proud to be delivering the first public showing of C4DtoA at SIGGRAPH.”
Currently in beta, Arnold for Cinema 4D is slated for release in Q1 2015. Requests for a tech demo at SIGGRAPH can be made via siggraph@maxon.net.
